Service will be cancelled tonight due to the expected bad weather. But we have a safe haven in Jesus!
If you blame God for your sickness, how are you supposed to depend on Him for your healing?? If He caused your problems, how can you go to Him to fix them? It's not your Father's will for you to be sick or struggling. It's your Father's will to love you out of it all.
Please forgive us!!! We put out an event to be in revival next week with the Millikin Family, that has been canceled due to some unforeseen changes. If you planned on joining us, you are always welcome anytime for our regular services!!
Due to road conditions we will not be having normal service times today. We will be only having a 2:00 service. Be safe everyone!
Church is hard. Church is hard for the person walking through the doors, afraid of judgement. Church is hard for the pastor’s family, under the microscope of an entire body. Church is hard for the prodigal soul returning home, broken and battered by the world. Church is hard for the girl who looks like she has it all together, but doesn’t. Church is hard for the couple who fought the entire ride to service. Church is hard for the single mom, surrounded by couples holding hands, and seemingly perfect families. Church is hard for the widow and widower with no invitation to lunch after service. Church is hard for the deacon with an estranged child. Church is hard for the person singing worship songs, overwhelmed by the weight of the lyrics. Church is hard for the man insecure in his role as a leader. Church is hard for the wife who longs to be led by a righteous man. Church is hard for the nursery volunteer who desperately longs for a baby to love. Church is hard for the single woman and single man, praying God brings them a mate. Church is hard for the teenage girl, wearing a scarlet letter, ashamed of her mistakes. Church is hard for the sinners. Church is hard for me. It’s hard because on the outside it all looks shiny and perfect. Sunday best in behavior and dress. However, underneath those layers, you find a body of imperfect people, carnal souls, selfish motives. But, here is the beauty of church— Church isn’t a building, mentality, or expectation. Church is a body. Church is a group of sinners, saved by grace, living in fellowship as saints. Church is a body of believers bound as brothers and sisters by an eternal love. Church is a holy ground where sinners stand as equals before the Throne of Grace. Church is a refuge for broken hearts and a training ground for mighty warriors. Church is a converging of confrontation and invitation. Where sin is confronted and hearts are invited to seek restoration. Church is a lesson in faith and trust. Church is a bearer of burdens and a giver of hope. Church is a family. A family coming together, setting aside differences, forgetting past mistakes, rejoicing in the smallest of victories. Church, the body, and the circle of sinners-turned-saints, is where He resides, and if we ask, He is faithful to come. So even on the hard days at church— The days when I am at odds with my friends. When I’ve walked in bearing burdens heavier than my heart can handle, yet masking the pain with a smile on my face. When I’ve worn a scarlet letter, under the microscope. When I’ve longed for a baby to hold, or fought tears as the lyrics were sung. When I’ve walked back in, afraid and broken, after walking away. I’ll remember, He has never failed to meet me there. Let church always be a place of healing and comfort and hope.

We had a good time seeing "Samson" in Branson yesterday. Missed those who couldn't make it. We love our church family!
2 Tim. 1:6 "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting of my hands." Sometimes we feel so weak and so inadequate. We feel like life is pushing down on us and we are finding it hard to stand. Then, there is 2 Tim. 1:6. God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit. We can do all things He has asked us to do. Not because we are awesomely outstanding, because He has put the gift of the Spirit in us with His own 2 hands. Sometimes we are anxious about life and the things it throws our way. Guess what 2 Tim. 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Now, how can we feel afraid or anxious with a promise like that? He has given us the Holy Spirit to strengthen us and guide us into His will for our lives. He has given us the power over fear to be victorious in all things we do in His name. No matter how big or how small. He loved us enough to use His own 2 hands to put a gift inside of YOU to help YOU when YOU need it. Which is all the time if you are like me!!! I want us to stir up the gift inside of us so that God can use us. Let's not be in the way of His will, let's be in the center of it. May the Lord richly bless all of us!

Sis Metheny did a Sunday School lesson a few weeks ago with the preschoolers and they planted watermelon seeds. Lily's are doing well! These seeds fell on good ground! Remember to plant the seed, someone else will water it and the Lord will give the increase. Sow the seed of the gospel today!
God is so good! We had amazing services over the weekend. We had testimonies from people in our church about what the Lord has done. One sister has had healing in her back and her wrist. Pain she has dealt with for years, GONE! One brother who has been on anxiety medicine for years has quit taking it. No side effects! No withdrawals! No mental battles! He is the Healer that healeth thee! We have had a dear brother in our church who has been in the hospital for weeks, prob close to a month. He was on death's door, was incoherent, unresponsive. They even signed papers, started planning for the worst. God raised him up!! He is now in rehab working on going home!! One family in our church has been struggling financially for the last couple years. God opened a door for our brother to a new job giving him a $12,000 a year raise! One brother talked about how the Lord has restored him. Given him a new desire to serve Him. Changed his outlook! All of these testimonies were given Sunday morning. We weren't even able to have Sunday school we got so excited about Him! God is working in our church! Whatever you need, He is the answer! This is the day the Lord hath made I will rejoice and be glad in it!
